RIPit was founded in 1989 by Wayne Wasulko, and is a major supplier of the powerful OpenRIP Series software RIPs,® along with Computer to Plate and Computer to Film Systems, throughout the United States.

Wasulko's mission was simple. Help shop owners take control of their own production by keeping the normallyout-sourced plates and film in-house. Design complete systems that are fast and powerful, yet easy to use and maintain.Systems that image high resolution polyester plates (to 3000 dpi and 175 lpi), and film (to 4000 dpi and 200lpi).Then price these systems so the small printer can easily afford one.

To this day, RIPit Computer to Plate and Computer to Film Systems are the preferred solution for seven printing franchises,and hundreds of independents. Including Offset Printers, Label-Flexo Printers, Box Printers, to Advertising Agencies.
